I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE

HI THERE, I' M ELIZA MASSOUD CROUSE!

A BIT ABOUT ME

Hello! I’m Eliza, a photographer born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and I'm excited to announce my move to Boston, Massachusetts this August!

While I will soon be officially based in Boston, I remain dedicated to serving both Michigan and Massachusetts for the foreseeable future. Though I am unsure how long I will continue consistently traveling back to Michigan for weddings/sessions, I feel incredibly blessed to serve both communities. In addition to the New England area and Michigan, I am also available for worldwide bookings!

Photography has been a lifelong passion for me, greatly influenced by my grandfather, an avid photographer who captured his travels and family moments. He gifted me my first camera when I was just six years old. Growing up in a household where photography was cherished—my mom was the quintessential “say cheese” mom, always documenting everything—I spent countless hours admiring our family scrapbooks in my parents' basement long before I found my true love for taking photos. My entrepreneurial journey began when I was 14 when my Godfather asked me to document his wedding. I had been doing plenty of shoots with friends for fun at that point, but it wasn't until after capturing this wedding that I realized documenting other people's memories and milestones was my true calling.

My style often reminds me of the scrapbooks I spent hours poring over in my childhood home—documentary, candid, genuine, timeless. Growing up, I was taught the importance of photography in telling stories, revealing truths, and preserving memories, and I strive to do the same for others through my services. My approach is to document my couples and clients honestly and authentically. It's not just about snapping a picture; it's about capturing the laughter, the quirks, the love—the essence of who they are. What I love most about photography is how it lets me weave together my passions: storytelling through the lens, forging connections with others, and preserving their unique stories for generations to come.

On a personal note, a few things about me: my favorite colors are yellow and pink, and I enjoy pickleball, bowling, painting, and reading (current favorite: “Hello Beautiful” by Ann Napolitano). I also love singing and performing in choirs and musicals and cherish time spent with family and friends. Music is another big part of my life, with my favorite artists including Pink Martini, Elton John, Nat King Cole, Laufey, and Coldplay. Before pursuing photography full-time, I worked with children in private and public schools in addition to nannying, combining my other passion for childcare and education!

MY MISSION:

My goal is to not only provide authentic photographs that you'll cherish for years to come but also prioritize your experience working with me. I am passionate about capturing genuine interactions, traits, spontaneous moments, and candids that make your personality and love unique. Whether it be a graduating senior reaching out to me or a couple asking me to come along and document some of the most important moments of their lives, I take great joy and responsibility in it. I am inspired by film, nature, cinema, human connection, travel, storytelling, art, and love. Creating poetic imagery with feeling is my specialty, and most of all, I want to give you a way to remember a chapter of your life in an honest and artistic way.
